Getting rBTC for network fees

In order to interact with the Money On Chain protocol, you need to have rBTC to pay the RSK Blockchain fees.

You will need rBTC to be able to pay the Gas, which is the fee for using the RSK Blockchain. You can pay the platform fees in rBTC too.

rBTC Smart Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency issued by RSK. It is pegged 1:1 with BTC. rBTC is necessary since with BTC you can't run Smart Contracts, which makes it possible for DeFi to exist.
